The study is being conducted by a researcher as part of her PhD. She is also a community nurse, with a special interest in both domestic abuse and issues that face older women. It is being sponsored by Lancaster University and has been through a rigorous approval process by an NHS ethics approval panel.

This study aims to look at the experiences of older women who have been in an abusive relationship with a partner. It will also be looking closely at how the different professionals and voluntary agencies support older women in this situation.

Participation in this study is entirely voluntary and you are under no obligation to participate. If you do not wish to participate, you do not have to give a reason as to why.
